On Thursday, April 4, 2019, I accomplished something that represented a number of “firsts” for me:
- I wrote my first children’s book
- I wrote my first rhyming book
- I illustrated my first book
- I published my first children’s picture book
- I published my first Kindle Direct Publishing eBook
- I submitted and published my first KDP eBook in one day!
As you may be able to deduce from the heading, my first children’s picture eBook is called “Hello Dear Flowers,” and it contains pictures I took of beautiful flowers I have met, and short rhyming text to explain the context of the pictures. From the Amazon website:
“Through brilliant color photographs of a variety of flowers, young children are introduced to concepts such as: big/little, small/large, colors, and flower images and names. Comparing flowers to people introduces young children to larger concepts such as: people of different colors, people from different countries, and people with disabilities all being welcome in the ‘garden.’ A great book to read to your young children for a fun learning experience.”
An Amazon Customer Review states: “LOVED the message that Jo has woven into the story. Not only are the flowers breathtakingly beautiful, but her message of uniqueness with each individual expression is inspiring and heartwarming. This is a MUST read to the little ones!”
I would love for you to look at Hello Dear Flowers on the Amazon website. If you are a Kindle Unlimited member, the Kindle eBook is free, otherwise it’s only $2.99. I would also appreciate any comments you would like to write on the Amazon website page, which will help others determine if they want to read the book or not. Thank you!
Entering a whole new world!
